Every day a multiplicity of stories are told, from idle gossip to crafted novels. Information technology has allowed these stories to grow large in number and reach further than ever before. Yet at the same time, as a society, we are becoming more nervous about the dissolution of a shared discourse. Fake news, information bubbles and echo chambers are all examples of a multitude of narratives that coexist, yet never interact.

Each problem is an exploration of the relationship between a line, plane, and solid under different conditions such as rectilinear, curvilinear, a combination of both. It is a study of forms in terms of proportions, balance, positive and negative space, harmony, and much more. These tools can further be applied to solve visual problems in product design.

Each exercise begins with initial concepts and combinations between given forms. These concepts are expressed using clay prototypes. The chosen relationship undergoes a series of iterations, in terms of scale, proportions, and balance. The final form in harmony is presented as a plaster scultpure.

This class is a culmination of spatial sensibility from my architectural background and scalar exploration in Industrial design. All my designs are a play of space and form.
